What is a mentor?
Mentors are junior and senior students who become â€œbig brothersâ€ of freshmen and sophomores in order to guide them into their new life as college students in the Environmental Science Program of University of Puerto Rico â€“ Rio Piedras Campus.
Mentors are students who:
Are accessible and available to new students
Help members establish networks between fellow students and faculty
Maintain themselves up-to-date of events, internships, research opportunities, and topics related to environmental careers
Personal satisfaction by assisting in the development of new students
Expand your professional/social network of colleagues who have passed through the program
Enhancement of Environmental Science Program quality
